We are passionately committed to providing millions of people worldwide with access to clean water — through technical expertise, innovative financing solutions, and the unifying power of music.
Our planet is a water planet. Around 71% of the Earth's surface is covered by water — but not everywhere people desperately need it.
While many of us simply turn on the tap, around 2.1 billion people worldwide still lack access to clean drinking water. That is roughly one in four people.
This is exactly where WATER IS RIGHT steps in, creating solutions for a problem that could have been solved long ago: the water is there. It just needs to be distributed more fairly.
We bring clean water to where it is needed most. Together with local partners, we install water treatment systems, refurbish abandoned wells, and build sanitation facilities. We train local professionals, conduct hygiene workshops, and support educational projects — internationally and in German schools alike. Our goal: solutions that last.
Behind WATER IS RIGHT stands Rolf Stahlhofen. And by his side are people, companies, and artists who look closely and want to make a difference as WE. Because the problem is not a lack of water on Earth — it is that too many people lack fair access to it.
Through a closed impact cycle of technical expertise, sustainable financing, and social mobilisation, WE ensure the lasting implementation of our worldwide water projects.
Sustainable water supply needs more than wells. We establish a maintenance culture that keeps infrastructure permanently functional. We refurbish existing well systems in partnership with local communities. By training local professionals, we foster regional self-reliance.
One cent per cubic metre of water used flows directly into sustainable water projects. This makes CSR measurable, scalable, and effective — a model that works.
We are committed to making Drink Water - Give Water the new social standard, contributing to a fairer distribution of water worldwide.
Water is Right grew out of a musicians' movement that provided urgent help where it was needed most. Water is Right uses the power of music as a strategic instrument. Concerts, events, and a strong artist network around founder Rolf Stahlhofen mobilise emotions and social momentum — for a fairer distribution of water worldwide.
